Spring has sprung and as the Colorado landscape trades it browns and whites for the fresh green and colors of spring, many job seekers are making changes as well. This month’s Hire Results will focus on key tips and resources for a highly coveted group of job seekers – baby boomers. Read on to learn about the Jefferson County Workforce Center’s 2nd Annual BOOM-A-FAIR on April 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, our special Job Club for Boomers, and some tips on an essential job search tool – networking.

2nd Annual BOOM-A-FAIR Shaping Up to Be a Great Opportunity for Boomers

Last year, nearly 2,500 boomer job seekers descended upon the Jefferson County Fairgrounds armed with strong resumes, business cards, and the desire to find that next great opportunity. There to greet them were close to 100 businesses eager to meet these highly qualified job seekers. Businesses that sign up to participate in the BOOM-A-FAIR know this much is true – baby boomers bring experience, commitment, and insight which are invaluable to today’s employers. read more >>
