Because of a high call volume, callers to the UI Customer Contact Center (CCC) are currently experiencing a long wait time before speaking with a customer-service representative. An Unemployment Insurance Claim Self-Service Resource Guide is now available on the CDLE public Web site. To avoid long telephone wait times, claimants are advised to read Publication B-19, Unemployment Insurance Handbook for Claimants, as their first source of information about UI claims and to use a variety of resources available online. Announcements directing claimants to the Unemployment Insurance Claim Self-Service Resource Guide have been added to the UI CCC interactive-voice-response system and the CDLE Web site. Similar announcements will be added to reminder notices and PIN mailers in the near future.
