What is the Jefferson County Workforce Center?
What services does it offer my organization?
Jefferson County Workforce Center is part of a statewide network contributing to economic vitality by providing business and employment solutions. We are the leader in developing and promoting strategic partnerships that contribute to a model workforce and a vital community. We are committed to preparing individuals for successful career transitions, promoting self-reliance, and ensuring a quality workforce for our business and future industry needs. Located in Golden, the Workforce Center is located on the Jefferson County Government Campus allowing customers to access a wide variety of services in one convenient location.
Working with the Jefferson County Workforce Center is like having your own personal staff of human resource experts to handle your staffing needs. By outsourcing the human resource functions of employee recruitment, screening, development, and outplacement, local businesses are free to concentrate on the primary objective of their business. Best of all, we provide all of this with minimal paperwork, and no long-term commitments on your part.
Whether your needs are to hire new employees, retain the ones you have, or reassess your staffing needs, Jefferson County Workforce Center can help. We will work with you to define new positions or modify existing ones that will attract candidates with the skills and traits you need. Using current industry information, we can recommend the appropriate compensations, publicize and recruit for positions, and even screen candidates presenting only the most qualified to you.
Take advantage of our innovative Grow Your Own Employee programs which can help you reduce labor costs while building the workforce you need to meet business demands. For example, in an On-the-Job Training (OJT) arrangement, we can reimburse up to 50% of the training costs for an employee during a specific period. In a Work Experience Program (WEP) we can place employees with your company for 6-9 months at no cost to you. Similarly, in Work Training Experiences we select, screen, place, and pay the salary of select 14-21 year-old workers while they intern for your company.
Once we’ve helped you to find the right employees for your business, we can help you to improve retention rates and employee productivity by providing resources to develop any additional skills needed as job responsibilities expand or change. We can often provide the funding to help your valued employees pursue needed certifications and licenses as job requirements change and roles evolve.
At Jefferson County Workforce Center, we’re helping local businesses meet growth objectives, dramatically decrease costs, improve profits, and greatly simplify life.
