Jefferson County Workforce Center will be sponsoring the BOOM-A-FAIR (the 2nd Annual Job Fair for Boomers) on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This unique fair is geared toward job seekers over 40 and will take place at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, located at 15200 West 6th Avenue in Golden. The BOOM-A-FAIR presents savvy businesses with a unique and cost-effective opportunity to recruit employees who are qualified, experienced, and committed.

The BOOM-A-FAIR brings together experienced and talented candidates and matches them with employers who see the value in leveraging their skill sets. These qualified boomer job candidates bring any employer a strong work ethic, dependability, flexibility, and commitment. As an exciting part of this event, 9News will be hosting the workforce center during special JobLine9 segments on Monday, April 21 during their morning and afternoon newscasts.

The BOOM-A-FAIR is a cost effective recruiting tool for businesses. The time and money involved to recruit and screen prospective employees is well beyond the fair’s business registration fee of $300.
