The Foothills Energy Partnership (FEP) is a regional collaboration among the
Jefferson County Workforce Center, Broomfield Workforce Center, Workforce Boulder County, Economic Development Councils, Community Colleges and industry partners.

The purpose of the Foothills Energy Partnership is to meet industry expectations in the development of a renewable energy workforce, including job skills and career training.

FEP provides a variety of resources to both businesses and job-seekers, and responds to green industry needs within the renewable energy sector.

Our services for businesses:

  • One-on-one business consultation to determine needs and goals
  • Access to hiring and training incentives and cost-saving programs
  • Pre-screening and assessment of candidates to fill green jobs
  • Customized hiring events


Our services for job-seekers:

  • Informational sessions highlighting education/training programs and green industry opportunities
  • Online resources and information about the renewable energy sector
  • Tuition assistance for eligible candidates
  • CareerReady Colorado (CRC)
  • Assessments and Certification

Energy Scholarships
Whether you are learning new skills or retraining current employees, we may provide funding to get the training you need. Eligible training programs are selected and approved by business leaders on the State Business Advisory Council.

Renewable Energy industry education is a main objective of the Foothills Energy Partnership.  FEP offers various Renewable Energy Workshops bringing green industry renewable energy businesses together with prospective employees and those looking to gain entrance into this industry.
